Under FMCSA Hours of Service regulations, commercial bus drivers can drive a maximum of 10 hours after 8 consecutive hours off duty. They cannot drive after being on duty for 15 hours total. These rules exist to prevent fatigue-related accidents and are strictly enforced with electronic logging devices.
