Figures from quote requests on Bus 2 Ride and sister company-owned websites. They describe requests, not confirmed bookings or a local office.
The typical group that requests a quote is 15 people. Half of all requests fall between 10 and 20 passengers.
Median and interquartile range of the passenger count entered on the quote form. Mean is 17.4.
n = 1,410 requests
Groups request quotes a median of 28 days before the event. A quarter ask 12 days or less ahead; a quarter ask more than two months ahead.
Days between the inquiry date and the event date on the request. Requests with an event date more than two years out were excluded.
n = 1,368 requests
Saturday accounts for about 55% of requested event dates and Friday another 22%. Sunday through Thursday together make up under a quarter.
Day of week of the event date on the request. Weekday events are the easiest to fit and usually the most flexible on vehicle choice.
